Scheduling approaches in expert systems: A study of their applicability

摘要

Expert scheduling systems are being used in a variety of domains, including manufacturing, personnel, aerospace, and military applications. Very little work has been done in determining when it is most appropriate to use a particular scheduling approach in an expert system. This paper addresses this area, placing special emphasis on matching scheduling techniques to requirements in the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) mission planning arena.
