Patient management in CCUs: Need for an intelligent interpretation of signals

In this work we are going to approach, within the field of intensive surveillance of patients, what has been termed intelligent monitoring, its implications in nonclassical signal processing schemes, the role of the expert systems from this perspective, and the current development of a system for intelligent monitoring (SUTIL) aimed at the environment of coronary care units (CCUs).
