Integrating Artificial Intelligence with quantitative methods such as Operations Research (OR) and Statistics is an area of growing research interest. This special edition on “Integration and Competition of AI with Quantitative Methods for Decision Support” investigates the potential of developing a unified framework for decision support which utilizes AI, quantitative methods, and other unexplored issues necessary for unification.
