Integration of a real time expert system and a modern graphic display system in a Swedish nuclear power plant control room

摘要

This paper describes a specific real time expert system application, the aproach for implementing it, and the lessons learned thus far in developing the system with emphasis on the experiences with the real-time expert system shell G2.The project is organized as a joint research and development program between Unit 2 at the Swedish nuclear power plant Forsmark, the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate, and the OECD Halden Reactor Project in Norway. The objective is to develop and install a computerized advisory system to assist the shift supervisor in Unit 2's control room in the observation and evaluation task after disturbances leading to automatic shutdown of the plant.
