The semigroup of an algebra automaton

In this paper we construct for a given algebra automaton the semigroup of functionswhich can be defined by that algebra automaton. We then express this semigroup as an operator semigroup with prescribed generators. Further, we characterize the algebra automata of algebras in a particular variety.
