摘要

Transparent plant cells with overlapping boundaries when viewed through a microscope produce low contrast, poorly focused pictures. Multiple pictures taken at different foci are processed individually, and are combined to form a single picture. This single picture is further processed to produce the final segmented picture with boundaries of one pixel thick which preserves the geometric structure of the cells.
