The iterated Galerkin method for linear integro-differential equations

The iterated Galerkin method of I.H. Sloan, which yields superconvergence for the approximate solution of integral equations, is generalized to get similar results for the larger class of integro differential equations. Two approaches are investigated to obtain superconvergence in different norms. Moreover, some additional aspects are discussed.
