From stochastic partial difference equations to stochastic cellular automata through the ultra-discretization

We derive stochastic cellular automata with finite range interactions from stochastic partial difference equations through the ultra-discrete limit. A typical example for stochastic cellular automata is the Domany–Kinzel model which is equivalent to mixed site-bond oriented percolation as a special case.
