An L∞-error estimate for finite element solution of nonlinear elliptic problem with a source term

The L∞-error estimate for the finite element solution of nonlinear elliptic problem with a source term is discussed. The lumped mass discretization method is used in the discretization and the error estimate O(h2∣log h∣) in L∞-norm is obtained.
