The finite element analysis of a decoupled T–ψ scheme for solving eddy-current problems

In this paper, we present a decoupled T–ψ scheme for solving eddy-current problems by means of finite element approximation based on ungauged electrical vector potential T. We give the convergence analysis and error estimates in finite time T0. And it is verified that provided the time-stepsize τ is sufficiently small, the proposed algorithm yields for finite time T0 an error of O(h2+τ2) in the L2-norm for the electric field E=ρ∇×T, where h is the mesh size.
