DOFM: Domain Feature Miner for robust extractive summarization

•A domain feature mining system is designed for the extractive summarization.•Time efficient symmetric and asymmetric cluster extraction algorithms are designed.•Empirical observations such as frequency count, grouping semantics, and statistical distribution are applied for clustering.•DOFM outperforms the state-of-the-art systems on benchmark data sets.
