A system dynamics evaluation model and methodology for instructional technology support

摘要

The purpose of the study was to develop a dynamic model through which to understand the variables that are important determinants of the success or failure of implementing technology-enhanced learning environments within higher education. A system dynamics approach was uniquely suited for this study because it provides a means to investigate complex and dynamic situations. Existing research and program history was used to determine the model architecture and determinant variables. Data from different support efforts will be needed to validate and calibrate the resulting model.
